"I can't say how proud I am of Nyles because he stays in the hum- ble lane," Thomas said when asked about his son's development at Notre Dame. "I know that success will bring all kinds of distractions, but at the same time — if you keep humility first — you'll be able to see that stuff heading your way and you'll be able to push the things back that will pull you down quickly.
