Pamphile 64 6-5, 300, Jr. Pamphile struggled mightily against the Golden Gophers, as the hosts got pressure from the backside of the line repeatedly. He'll need to play better vs. Penn State, or he'll be replaced by Kitchens. 2. Justin Kitchens 51 6-4, 294, Jr. Wide Receiver 1. Dolapo Macarthy 16 Left Guard 1. Peters Drey 67 6-6, 302, Sr. (5) Drey has started all eight games for the Boilermakers this season, impressive considering he came in trying to recover from a bad back. 2. Cody Davis 59 6-5, 286, Jr. Wide Receiver 6-5, 220, R-Fr. 18 rec., 170 yards, 1 TD* Macarthy started last week and may again vs. Penn State, depending on the Ross' health. The junior WR has been out with a turf toe-like injury. Macarthy was good vs. Minnesota with five catches for 53 yards and a touchdown. His 31-yard snag was a beautiful one-hander along the sideline. 2. O.J. Ross 4 5-10, 188, Jr. 1. Rick Schmeig 76 6-3, 305, Sr. (5) Schmeig had the hustle play of the day against the Gophers, pounc- ing on a loose ball after Caleb Terbush was stripped after- being hit behind the line. 2. Robert Kugler 57 6-3, 280, R-Fr. 1. Antavian Edison 13 5-11, 175, Sr. 38 rec., 432 yards, 6 TDs* 11 rush, 25 yards* Edison rebounded with five catches for 51 yards and a touchdown vs. Minnesota, after being almost non-existent against Ohio State a week earlier. Purdue needs more big plays from its biggest playmaker. 2. Rob Henry 15 6-2, 200, Jr. 2. Rob Henry 15, 6-2, 200, Jr. —OR— Caleb TerBush 19, 6-5, 225, Sr. (5) Quarterback 1. Robert Marve 9 6-1, 212, Sr. (6) 60-of-92 for 597 yards, 6 TDs / 2 int.* Marve gets his first start since the season opener, after an impressive three drives against the Golden Gophers. It'll be inter- esting to see how effective he is playing from the opening kickoff against a legitimate Big Ten defense. Running Back Tight End Right Guard 1. Robert Kugler 57 Right Tackle 1. Trevor Foy 78 6-3, 280, R-Fr. Kugler has started two consecutive games and been the highest-grading offensive lineman in two consecutive games. He's helped solidify the line a bit, but it's still got a long ways to go. 2. Devin Smith 71 6-7, 320, Jr. 1. Gabe Holmes 86 6-5, 247, Jr. 17 rec., 104 yards, 1 TD* Holmes caught only two passes for 13 yards and hasn't shown the game- breaking speed he was thought to have. On the season, he's averaging only 6.8 yards per reception, well below what was expected. Wright had two catches for 19 yards. 2. Crosby Wright 82 6-3, 248, Sr. (5) 1. Akeem Shavers 24 5-11, 203, Sr. 95 rush, 432 yards, 3 TDs* 8 rec., 163 yards, 1 TD* Shavers had a solid outing, his best in weeks, with 78 yards on 11 carries. He had a 40-yard rush on Purdue's second offensive snap, setting up the Boilermakers' first-quar- ter touchdown. Hunt averaged 9.3 yards on six carries. 2. Akeem Hunt 11 5-9, 184, So. 6-7, 300, Jr. Kitchens, who is back after missing a couple weeks with a strained MCL, replaced an ineffective Foy in the second half against Minnesota. Gary Bush 6 6-0, 185, Jr. 24 rec., 235 yards, 5 TDs* Bush had a catch for 10 yards but not much else.
