for crystal using a special printer. Images can go on the front or back of the crystal. The images can also be translucent— allowing a bit of light to permeate—or opaque. Translucent images are printed directly onto the crystal itself, while opaque images are printed as a decal and applied to the crystal. COMBINING IMPRINTS If these decorating techniques were not spectacular enough on their own, they can be combined to create an ultimate award or gift. For example, an ordinary crystal cube can be imprinted in three different ways to create a show-stopping award. Deep inside the crystal is a three-dimensional image that is important to the company or recipient. A four-color sublimated image can be added to the front and back sides of the cube. Last, a sandcarved logo can be added to the front of the cube and filled with paint for an extra pop of color. All of these decorating processes are stunning on their own, but when they are combined, they create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. THE BEST IMPRINT While there are many different ways to decorate crystal and glass, the best way to imprint is the way your customer would like. Working with your customer to find out what kind of artwork they envision helps you choose the best decorating process. No matter what decorating process your customer chooses, the memory associated with their award or gift will last forever. Thanks to the gift of advanced technology and the artistry of etching craftsmanship, the options for creating a spectacular award are endless.
