ISSUE #1 www.spudman.com Thursday, January 11, 2018 Spudman Toda y [ [ 2018 Show Daily Potato Expo 2018: Celebrating 10 Years By Jim Tiede and Mike Pink Co-chairs, Potato Expo 2018 Steering Committee W elcome to the 10th annual Potato Expo. Looking back at the last 10 years we are amazed by what the Potato Expo has become. Potato Expo started out in 2009 in San Antonio with 60 exhibiting companies and a little over 800 attendees. Now we have over 170 exhibiting companies and nearly 2,000 attendees. Over the years, the Potato Expo has developed the reputation as the place to be to start the new year thinking about the upcoming growing season and collecting new ideas on innovations, trends and inputs. There's no denying that we all like to talk potatoes and the Potato Expo provides the ideal setting to meet with partners, suppliers, opinion leaders, influencers and, most importantly, friends. We have heard a lot of comments over the years that attending the Potato Expo is like being at a reunion. We come here year after year to meet old friends and make new ones. Developing and cultivating these relationships help make our businesses more successful and our industry stronger. We encourage you to talk to as many people as you can and to make new connections. The connections you make and partnerships you form here continue throughout the year. It's the perfect way to kick the new year off right! One thing for sure is that over the past nine years Potato Expo has not stood still. The changes for 2018 are no exception. You can expect the level of energy on the trade show floor to be at an all-time high. Be sure to visit the new Innovation Hub© and experience The Eye @PotatoExpo. These new innovative venues offer attendees access to dynamic ideas that enhance the value of Potato Expo.
