power-washed and painted, and the locker
rooms and team room, used for birthday
parties and corporate events, received make-
overs. Since the facility opened, the lighting
has been redone twice, most recently changing
to LEDs.
The Bar & Grill has also seen improvements.
"It has really gotten rave reviews," Christine
says of the restaurant. "I think that's one of
the things that keeps our teams coming back,
because they know they can go and play, and
no matter what – win, lose, whatever happens
– they can have a pint afterwards at the bar."
As much as the paint on the building or the
new floor in the restaurant, little things also
make a big difference to customers. "We
change a lot," says Christine, "like offering
wi-fi." Upgrading CFC's phone system with
cordless phones has allowed them to be
remote and still available to callers. Christine
says that, instead of being tied to a desk,
"We'll be out there with the customers
and players."
And the changes don't stop there. Christine
has goals to improve programming. "We
want to try to maximize our time as best as
possible. I'd like to see us maybe do an after-
school program to boost it in the offseason."
Corporate events are also on her to-do list.
"We're going to start a corporate coed league.
This is going to be more of a rec-division
league. Where it might not be your pro soccer
players getting out there to play, it's hopefully
going to get people in the office out playing
together and working out together."
With 10 years' experience behind them,
Christine and her staff have found the knack
to keep CFC improving for years to come.
