Giving Back at Your Facility Giving back to your community doesn't have to wait until the holiday season. Many charities and organizations need support year-round, not just at the end of the year. It's likely there are organizations in your city or county willing to partner with your facility for events and fundraising. It could be a nationally-known organization like The Salvation Army, or maybe it's an organization specific to your area. From your local school district to government-supported programs to foundations assisting those with cancer or other diseases, there are plenty of opportunities to search for. Talk with the organization's leaders to determine their needs and to see how you can help. And check with your advertisers and sponsors. They may be able to connect you with charities and programs that are important to them and add their support. Whether it's fundraising tournaments or bringing children in need to your facility for activities, there are many ways you can donate field time and staff. It's an easy way to give back to your community while raising your facility's profile. Tammy Gilpin-Ripp is the Director of Marketing and Sponsorship at Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club.
