Our favorite beach access: the Back River beach at Chatham Avenue and Inlet. It's got a great (and quiet) view of Little Tybee. How the perfect Tybee day should begin: Start with coffee or tea at Tybean Art and Coffee Bar, then a late breakfast at The Breakfast Club. After that, we like to take a walk on the beach. Finish it off with dinner at Fannies on the Beach for a great beach view. Tybee must-do: Climb the lighthouse (it's Georgia's oldest and tallest) and take a cocktail in a plastic cup to the beach to watch the cargo ships come and go. We never go to the beach without: a hat, sunscreen, a beach chair and a picnic lunch in a cooler from Tybee Market IGA, plus binoculars for watching dolphins and pelicans. Insider tip: Rent a bike from Tim's Beach Gear and ride to the many locally owned shops (including Latitude 32!) at the Shops at Tybee Oaks.
