Participants will learn how to implement advanced, modern player development techniques while also using USA Hockey programs to maximize the growth and sustainability of their hockey programs. Participants will also learn how to develop and conduct programs using ADM principles. New in 2018, there will be 3 separate tracks within the program to choose from. Hockey Director (Classroom & On-Ice) • Role of an effective Hockey Director • Understanding & capitalizing on LTAD principles • How to successfully implement the ADM into your program • Off-ice and on-ice player development • Teaching better body contact and body-checking • Using the new features in the USA Hockey Mobile Coaching App Goaltending Coach Development (Classroom & On-Ice) Hockey Director Track topics plus 8 hours of goaltending coach specific topics: • Off-ice and On-ice goaltender development • Modern goaltending coach training and development • Participants will also receive USA Hockey Silver Level goaltending coach certification Program Administrator (Classroom Only) Hockey Director Track topics plus: • Understanding & implementing USA Hockey's Club Excellence Program • Best practices for recruiting & retaining new players, coaches and volunteers • Parent Education • USA Hockey SafeSport • Club leadership & management best practices For more information please contact Kevin McLaughlin at kevinm@usahockey.org Hockey Director and Administrator Program Coming to NARCE , The Skating Director Program is designed for skating directors, club board members, rink managers and coaches looking for the opportunity to strengthen their skills as program administrators in order to take their program to the next level. The Skating Director Program offers attendees a toolkit that allows for effective leadership and business strategies for program growth and success. This program is fast paced, full of vital programming information, and will inspire, motivate, and educate attendees on how to use the full array of U.S. Figure Skating and Learn to Skate USA programs to create a successful and financially viable skating program.
