rv-pro.com February 2018 • RV PRO • 203 Dexter Acquiring Henderson Wheel & Trailer DexKo Global's Dexter subsidiary is acquiring Salt Lake City-based Henderson Wheel & Trailer Supply, a manu- facturer of sprung and torsion axles and fenders as well as a distributor of axles, trailer components and fenders. A purchase price was not disclosed. "The addition of the Hen- derson product and manufac- turing facilities, will comple- ment the already extensive portfolio of products under Dexter while strengthening our presence in the western U.S.," said Fred Bentley, CEO of DexKo Global. "This is an excellent opportunity to better serve all our customers with the addition of West Coast manufacturing capabilities," added Adam Dexter, president and CEO of Dexter. "Our focus will be to further enhance our com- mitment to the core Dexter principles of safety, quality, and customer service that have been the foundation of our success for over 50 years. By concentrating on these areas, we are confident that the addition of Henderson will bring value to all our mutual customers." Horizon Global Acquiring Brink Group H o r i zo n G l o b a l h a s entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Brink Group, a manufac- turer of towbars, wiring kits and towing accessories, from European private equity firm H2 Equity Partners. A purchase price was not disclosed. Headquartered in the Netherlands and with more than 75 years of towbar expertise, the Brink Group works closely with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and orig- inal equipment suppliers (OESs) on various programs and also serves the aftermarket channel of the towing and trailering industry. The Brink Group produces nearly 1 million towbars annually; its products can be found on approximately 25 million vehicles worldwide, according to Horizon Global. The company currently operates nine facilities in eight countries around the world. With annual revenue of about $150 million, the Brink Group's addition to the Horizon Global portfolio will enhance the company's product innovation and manufac- turing capabilities, according to Horizon Global. After the acquisition, the combined company's robust and respected product portfolio will more effectively serve its global customers across the OEM, OES, aftermarket and retail channels, the company added. Airstream Partnering with Jayco Australia to Relaunch Brand Airstream has announced that it has partnered with Jayco Australia to relaunch the Airstream brand in the country. Jayco Australia, an RV manufac- turer with about 50 percent market share in the Australian RV industry, will launch the Airstream Basecamp early next year and two International model travel trailers later in 2018 at five of its dealers across the country. Founded in 1975 by Gerry Ryan, Jayco has been a part of the caravan market in Australia for more than 40 years, and, during this time, has built nearly 200,000 RVs, according to the company. "Jayco is pleased to announce this partnership with Airstream USA," said Ryan, owner of Jayco Australia. "The iconic nature of Airstream caravans, combined with the great reputation the company has had for more than 85 years, should serve our dealers well while offering a unique product to Australians across our great country." Days Bros Acquiring Alliance Coach Georgia Dealership Family-owned and operated Day Bros RV, based in London, Ky., is expanding into Georgia with the acqui- sition of the Alliance Coach RV Sales & Service facility in Lake Park. A purchase price was not disclosed. Founded in 1995, Day Bros is known for its large selec- tion of new and used RVs and has become one of the fastest-growing family-owned dealerships in the U.S., according to Alliance Coach. Alliance Coach President Alan Shapiro said he is happy to see the Georgia facility passed on to Days Bros because of the way they do business, focusing on building lifelong customers. Shapiro said, "This move will benefit everyone involved. Days Bros has a great opportunity for growth in a new market and now we can focus on our operations in Wildwood, Fla., and the expansion coming in 2018."
