16 THE SHOP MARCH 2018 Project Vehicle Sketchbook Land Rover Discovery 5 2018 Chevy Colorado LT FearOne created a 2018 Chevrolet Col- orado LT for GM that was featured in the Covercraft booth at the 2017 SEMA Show. With a project theme of Surf (ocean) Meets Turf (off-road), it was entered in the SEMA Battle of the Builders com- petition. Participants include: A.R.E., Cover- craft, CravenSpeed, Dee Zee, Del8ocho, EGR USA, Fastway, General Tire, Husky Liners, Hyper tech, LED Underglow, MagnaFlow, MGP Caliper Covers, Premier Tint, Prescott Auto Body, Prescott Tire Pros, RBP, Rough Country, Red Beard Graphics, Switch Pros, T-REX Grilles, Vettesthetics and ZROADZ. 2018 Hot Wheels Camaro Chevrolet and Hot Wheels have announced the 2018 Camaro Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Edition, celebrating 50 years of partnership, per- formance innovation and design. The commemorative package pays homage to iconic Hot Wheels features including a Crush exterior color and stripes that replicate the toys' famous orange tracks. Introduced at the 2017 SEMA Show, the package is available on Camaro 2LT and 2SS coupe and convertible models. "The Chevrolet Per- formance design studio is full of designers who were inspired by Hot Wheels," said Tom Peters, director of Exterior Design for Chevrolet Perfor- mance Cars. "The Camaro Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Edition captures that passion, turning childhood fantasy into reality." The package includes: Satin Graphite stripes with Silver Ice Metallic accents, Satin Graphite ground effects, 20-inch forged aluminum wheels (with summer- only tires on SS) in Satin Graphite with milled faces and unique center caps, 50th anniversary Hot Wheels fender badges, unique grille with Galvano Chrome inserts, orange brake calipers, dark tail- lamps, black taillamp panel with the Hot Wheels emblem, black Chevrolet bowtie emblems, jet black leather-appointed interior with exclusive orange inserts and orange accent stitching, orange knee- pads on the doors and orange safety belts, embossed front-seat headrests, 50th anni- versary Hot Wheels badge on the steering wheel, illuminated doorsill plates with 50th anniversary Hot Wheels badges and premium carpeted floor mats with orange stitching and ghost stripes. STARTECH, a member of the BRABUS Group, unveiled its newest outfit- ting options for the Land Rover Discovery 5 at IAA 2017. The lineup ranges from a sporty-yet-elegant body styling kit with on-road design and tailor- made 22-inch wheels and matched tires, to high-quality interior refinements. The front spoiler attaches to the production bumper and includes raised side flaps, while an add-on component for the rear bumper features integrated tailpipe embellishers and fits on vehicles equipped with a trailer hitch. A Union Jack design for the front fenders pays tribute to the British origin of the off-roader, and for the show car at the IAA, STARTECH designers additionally developed a special paint scheme with the hood and roof sporting a high-gloss black finish. It rides on Monostar M wheels and Continental low-profile tires, while exclusive interior accessories range from floor mats and scuff plates with backlit STARTECH logo to aluminum pedals and footrest. Requests for more extensive interior refinement can be fulfilled by the STARTECH upholstery shop, with interiors crafted from fine leather and Alcantara in a virtually endless variety of colors and in any desired upholstery design. Noble wood and carbon trim sets are also available.
