40 THE SHOP MARCH 2018 Configurable Display Race Technology, Richmond, Virginia, offers its DASH2 PRO ultra- configurable display with powerful processing. A complete system in one compact component, it includes built-in GPS data-logging and optional control outputs. DASH2 PRO is road-legal with everything required for an MOT or SVA test. Use it to monitor the engine and display high/low alarms for any parameter. Information is displayed on five user-defined screens, and the system includes inputs for up to eight engine sensors as well as rpm and wheel speed, and a range of enhancement options. 2017 GM Gas Truck Tuning Hypertech, Memphis, Tennessee, introduces the Max Energy 2.0 Power Programmer, now supporting 2017 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500/2500HD/3500HD trucks, plus Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade SUVs with 4.3-liter V-6 and 5.3-, 6.0- and 6.2-liter V-8 gas engines. Features include top speed adjustment, transmission tuning, rev limiter adjustment, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) threshold adjustment, plus the ability to read and clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). The programmers install in minutes without tools. Power Stroke Tuning Superchips, Ogden, Utah, offers new tuning and features for 2015-'16 Ford Power Stroke 6.7-liter trucks. The release includes refined tuning for the 2015 model year and brand- new coverage for 2016 6.7-liter Fords. Diesel coverage is extended to the Flashcal, Flashpaq and Dashpaq systems. All units can be updated with the additional coverage in just minutes. The updates provide horsepower, towing and mileage improvements, plus gear ratio adjustment, tire size adjustment, torque management, speed limiter adjustment, TPMS adjustments and more. Updated Software AEM, Hawthorne, California, introduces new DashDesign Software (Version 1.03.03) offering new features and templates that enhance the capabilities of CD-5 Carbon (available March 2018) and CD-7 Digital Dashes. Major additions include a new five-gauge layout, a five-gauge layout specific to users who are using FAST XFI EFI systems, new fonts, count up/count down timers and more. The CD-5 Carbon's and CD-7's main harnesses include two independent CAN bus inputs, so virtually any device with a CAN output can be added to the digital display. GM Programmer Banks Power, Azusa, California, presents its handheld AutoMind 2 Programmer for use with GM diesel/ gas engines (except motorhomes). Offering power, fuel economy and performance, the AutoMind 2 is internet-updatable and works as a flexible, all-in-one programmer and scan tool. It displays critical engine functions with an improved user interface on a full- color, 2.8-inch screen. Features vary by application and can include: adjust or remove engine rev and/ or top speed limiter; speedometer calibration based on tire size and/or gear ratio; read and clear trouble codes; and more. TUNERS & PROGRAMMERS Data Kit Racepak, Rancho Santa Margarita, California, offers the Vantage CL1 Data Kit that merges the power of the company's exclusive D3 App mobile technology with a vehicle-mounted CL1 data box and optional OBD-II input. The advanced, intuitive track day and autocross data system transmits sensor data via Bluetooth from the CL1 data box to a vehicle-mounted, D3 app- equipped mobile device, displaying sensor and lap timing data to the driver, while automatically uploading all data to Racepak's secure cloud service via the phone's cellular connection.
