2010-CURRENT—CHANGES AUGUST 2010 How to sublimate a mug has always been a popular topic; an early article cov- ered the matter, and A&E has since discussed it several times. SEPTEMBER 2010 SEO—what is it and why is it important? A&E again stays on top of marketing trends by covering Search Engine Optimization. OCTOBER 2010 This issue saw the original introduction of the D2 Report. Shanna Rowley, current A&E account executive, joins the team. FEBRUARY 2011 The Team Sales Report becomes a regular supplement to the A&E lineup. APRIL 2011 Formerly The Sublimation Almanac, The Sublimation Report debuted its new title in this issue. JUNE 2011 Formerly The Hot Graphics Annual, The Hot Graphics Report debuted its new title in this issue. DECEMBER 2012 Mobile device personalization has grown infinitely; an early look at this hot niche was featured in this issue. AUGUST 2013 "Though my tenure as the publisher of A&E was short, I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the companies and characters within the market. There are so many nuances of the awards and personalization industry to learn about and cover in the magazine. During my time, we saw a changing of the guard in many aspects internally and exter- nally. For example, Cassie Green took over as the editor, and we introduced the Custom Gift Annual and The Glass & Crystal Report in an attempt to help our constituents find new ways to highlight their products. We also saw consolidation within the market— big players got bigger, alliances were formed, and for better or worse, we saw a number of small companies get acquired. However, one thing remained constant: A&E lead the market with outstanding coverage and excel- lent regional opportunities at THE (many) NBM SHOWs. I will always appreciate the deeper understanding of the technologies that drive this market, as well as the friend- ships I made with the many colorful people who drive it." —James "Ruggs" Kochevar, former publisher of A&E AUGUST 2014 "When I took over as editor, a feeling of excitement went through my head. I had joined NBM just a few years before and was enticed by what the awards and engraving market had to offer. A&E was (and still is) a dominant force in the industry, and I was thrilled to be taking the reins. The first article I wrote for A&E was for The Sublimation Report, covering wide- format sublimation. What an eye opener to one of the fastest-growing technologies out there. Since then, I've had the privilege to become immersed in this dynamic industry. The past few years have introduced me to some of the best people I could hope to meet; I've thoroughly enjoyed building both pro- fessional and personal relationships. Thank you to all of the readers who continue to look to A&E as their source for education." —Cassie Green, editor of A&E NOVEMBER 2014 Bob Hagel, current columnist for A&E, writes his first article for the magazine. DECEMBER 2014 The Glass & Crystal Report makes its debut appearance as a special supplement to the December issue. APRIL 2015 A&E moves toward a stronger relation- ship between digital and print with its new Web Exclusives highlight. 38 a-e-mag.com • A&E MARCH 2018
