22 FESTIVAL www.guestlist.net Issue 45 / 2012 23rd November 2012 to 26th November 2012 @ Butlins, Minehead, Somerset Now heading into its second year, the Madness curated House of Fun Weekender last year brought crowds top acts such as Maverick Sabre, Man Like Me, Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, and Norman Jay M.B.E (who will be returning this year). 2012's line-up also includes David Rodigan, The Cuban Brothers, Craig Charles, Don Letts and many more, plus Madness will open the Festival with a themed performance on themselves, who the Friday, and close it with a classic set on Sunday. The band's performances will no doubt include timeless tunes along with new material from their tenth studio album Oui, Oui, Si, Si, Ja, Ja, Da, Da, which was released on 29th October. The weekend also offers a wide range of activities, from Rockeoke and Silent Discos to comedy and, of course, games and antics from professional partiers, The Squeaky Hill Crew. THE HOUSE OF FUN WEEKENDER The iconic ska-band Madness will be welcoming festival-goers into their House of Fun with the 3 day spectacular set to return to Butlins in November. From just £149 per person, why not pull on your baggy trousers and take one step beyond to the House of Fun weekender, which is sure to be the highlight for the winter festival season. LONDON REMIXED FESTIVAL @ East London Chances are if you've been to a festival this year (or before), part of it was brought to you by Global Local. 24th November 2012 This year, these producers of the most rocking festival stages across the globe curated a number of stages at Festival No.6, Boomtown, Bestival and Secret Garden Party, and are now back with the London Remixed Festival. Taking place on 24th November in East London, LRF is the only end of season festival to be at, brought to you by the biggest and best venue agencies the UK has to offer. The one ticket, one wristband, multi venue urban festival boasts a promoters organisers, and music festival line-up which will include Ska Cubano, Monster Ceilidh Band, Gypsy Hill, Los Chinches, Wara Afriquo, Horndog Brass Band, Kidnap Alice and Cut A Shine, all showcasing their own variety of remixed talent in one of three venues in London's trendy East End. From Roma to rumba, Latin beats to Afro funk, Nu folk to no folk, London Remixed Festival is a celebration of the best emerging musical talent.
