The seed-applied tech- nology results in faster, more even crop emergence, enhanced root development, and larger, more vigorous seedlings. PROTINUS works by optimizing the COMBATTING THE WIND Clermont, FL—Senninger Irrigation introduces its new End Spray. This efficient, low-pressure alternative for irrigating corners and edges, especially where the flow and radius required is less than traditional end guns. The low-angle design combats the effects of wind. The large orifice resists clogging. There are no moving parts for longer life. It is constructed of super-tough, wear-resistant material for long-term durability. There is no vibration. No adjustments are ever needed. Booster Tube technology provides increased radius of throw over a 180 degree distribution with good uniformity over a large area to help reduce compaction and run-off. Flows: 8.1 to 48.9 GPM; Radius: 20 to 30 ft.; Operating pressures: 10 to 25 psi. The End Spray is backed by a two-year warranty on materials, workmanship and performance. pH around the seed for uptake of important nutrients, and delivering three key micronu- trients directly to the young seedling. It is formulated as a dry powder, designed for use by professional seed treaters. Growers interested in maximizing their seed investment with an application of PROTINUS should speak to their seed supplier, or local seed treater. Wolf Trax supports products and works to ensure customer satisfaction with extensive research and development, and technical and sales support in Canada, the U.S., the European Union and Mexico. WIDER, WETTED UP-TOP PATTERN Walla Walla, WA—Nelson Irrigation Corpora- tion now offers a significant improvement for “up- top” mounting of center pivot water application packages. The new GRAY plate for the R3000 Ro- tator features patented plate geometry providing wider throw distance and built-in uniformity. As a rotating-type sprinkler, the R3000 Rotator produces a significantly wider wetted pattern than sprayheads resulting in better overlap and longer soak time to reduce runoff. This rotator operates at lower pressures — now down to 10 psi — saving energy. Expect long wear life because the seals and thrust bearing are protected. Re-nozzling to match crop requirements or pumping capacity is fast and easy, as the R3000 Rotator features a quick-change, color-coded plastic nozzle. The new GRAY plate for the R3000 Rotator operates through a full nozzle range without having to change sprinkler models. This new sprinkler offers an excellent up-top water application solution from 10- 25 PSI operating pressure. TANK-MIX APPLE STYLE Need a tank-mix calculation quickly? Now, thanks to Du- Pont Crop Protection, there’s an application for that. It is called a “TankMix App,” created for iPhone and iTouch users. The DuPont IT Innovation Office, under the leadership of John Puckett, director, IT inno- vation, sponsored the project. The TankMix App provides basic math calculations for the amount of product and water needed per tank or area. The current TankMix App does not contain product- specific information; however, a link to the DuPont CP website guides users to specific production information and usage guid- ance. This App calculates spray volumes. The TankMix App is available through Ap- ple’s App Store, where it is free to download on any Apple iTouch or iPhone. A simple search for Crop Protection, DuPont or Agriculture will give growers access to the free calculator. Visit to download the application. 9
