Red Sparrow 1st March A captivating spy thriller that follows Jennifer Lawrence as Dominkia Egorova. A intelligence service agent whose on her first mission, targeting a CIA agent, that soon turns deadly. The ninety-minute film will be presented by environmental expert Liz Bonnin and will air on BBC One later this year. In addition to examining the epidemic of the sheer quantities of plastic being dumped into the Earth's waters, Bonnin will also meet with scientists throughout the documentary to discuss how the problem can be addressed. Although Drowning in Plastic was commissioned by the BBC before they aired Blue Planet II, the success of the aforementioned series led to the film becoming a top priority as it sparked a widespread interest in the condition of our oceans. The motion picture follows the fascinating love affair between Gloria and her neighbour, Peter Turner, a young actor from Liverpool played by Jaime Bell. Director Paul McGuigan explores this human connection with a delicate and intriguing approach. We get to know how the couple fell for each other thanks to a goofy dance and we watch the evolution of their connection. Gloria is so different from Turner, she has been married three times and has a twenty year old son. Still, their affection feels real. Bell and Bening's sizzling chemistry on screen delivers a convincing performance that will easily drive you through two hours of the picture with ease. The soundtrack and the cinematography are also spot-on. The movie has the right vibe and doesn't add any element that doesn't need to be there. Bening's interpretation is authentic as she masterfully exposes all of her character's frailties and fears. The ending closes the movie perfectly, it's a poignant and strong moment that will leave you breathless thanks to Bening's brilliance. According to the National Geographic, around eight million tons of plastic is dropped into the oceans every year.
