MARTHA STEWART WAS MY HEALTH GURU AFTER WORKING 15-YEARS WITH MARTHA STEWART, EIGHT-TIME EMMY AWARD WINNING TV PRODUCER CHRISTINA DEYO LEARNED AND ADOPTED MARTHA'S SECRETS TO STAYING HEALTHY BY CHRISTINA DEYO I have known Martha Stewart for over 15 years and during that time, her expertise and healthy lifestyle is something I've taken away from the experience. I first worked with Martha when I was a producer on the Rosie O'Donnell show, and she was an invited guest. Later, I had the opportunity to work for her for six years, while producing the Martha Stewart Show. Because of my time with her, I am usually asked, what it's like working for Martha? Is it really a good thing? I have my quick response for those who I don't really know that well, and that is, what you see is what you get. But in reality, her food choices and desire to stay healthy caused me to become a healthier person, and I'm grateful to her because of it. HARD WORK THAT'S HARD TO SWALLOW What is it really like to work for Ms. Martha? She can be a tough cookie for sure, but if you work hard she appreciates it and you'll get along with her just fine. At first meeting, Martha can be very intimidating. She's practically perfect in everything she does -- and she does a lot. She cooks, cleans, gardens, crafts, knits, crochets, and much more. So when you work for her, you need to know your stuff too. For example, if you're using wood in a craft project, be prepared for her to ask you what kind of tree the wood came from. I've seen her ask another producer how many seeds (on average) are in a pomegranate. When the producer didn't know, we found her in the kitchen breaking open one and counting them. Martha was still serving time in prison for insider trading when I was hired to work on her show. Mark Burnett, executive producer of Survivor, The 30 DiGEST THIS
