Rondale
Moore made
a splash Jan.
6 when the
Louisville
receiver
pledged to
Purdue at
the Army
All-American
Bowl, televised
nationally on
NBC. Moore picked the Purdue hat, with Florida State,
Ohio State and Alabama caps sitting on a table, as well.
Karissa McLaughlin set the Purdue
freshman three-point record Feb. 18,
hitting four at Ohio State to give her 62,
one more than teammate Dominique
Oden, the previous record-holder. They
are the only freshmen in program history
to have more than 60.
Purdue beat Illinois Feb. 22, ending the four
seniors' redemption tour. Before this season,
Vincent Edwards, Isaac Haas, Dakota Mathias
and P.J. Thompson hadn't won at Michigan,
Iowa and Illinois. But they did this season.
Jeff Brohm will hold his second spring game at
Purdue at noon on April 7 in Ross-Ade Stadium,
hoping it's the cap of a successful 15 practices
over six weeks.
On May 10, Ryan Kerrigan will be inducted into
the Purdue Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the
2018 Class. Kerrigan, a Washington Redskins'
linebacker, had 33.5 sacks in his Purdue career
from 2007-10, tied for second in program
history.
