30 THE SHOP APRIL 2018 Exhaust Cutouts Holley Performance Products, Bowling Green, Kentucky, presents Hooker Street Tease Exhaust Cut-Outs that convert exhausts to race mode quickly and easily. With the flick of a remote button or toggle switch, the throaty exhaust tone from street cruising is replaced by instant performance for the track. The cutouts are available in four configurations—2.5-inch single and dual exhaust, and 3-inch single and dual exhaust—and manufactured from stainless steel and aluminum for maximum corrosion-resistance. Ford 7.3-Liter Engine Cover Sinister Diesel, Roseville, California, offers a new Engine Cover for 1999-2003 Ford 7.3-liter Power Stroke applications. The bolt-on replacement solves the problem of having an old, cracked or missing stock engine cover while providing an increased level of protection for vital engine components. The cover features a gray powder-coated main plate that is laser-cut to reveal an aluminum, blue powder-coated pit bull. Miata Clutch Kit Advanced Clutch Technology (ACT), Lancaster, California, offers Performance Clutch Kits for Mazda MX-5 Miata ND models. The kits include: the company's Heavy Duty pressure plate, choice of disc, Streetlite flywheel, release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool. The pressure plate incorporates hardened diaphragm fingers for decreased wear and provides a 40-percent increase in clamp force over the stock unit. The ACT Street clutch kits combine the Heavy Duty pressure plate with a performance organic street disc. Carbon Fiber Helmet RaceQuip, Riverview, Florida, introduces a carbon fiber version of its VESTA15 Full-Face Helmet. Dual- certified to both Snell SA2015 and FIA 8859 specifications, the helmet offers a contemporary design paired with modern production techniques that creates a balance between light weight and affordability. The shell is comprised of alternating layers of hand-laid carbon fiber and Kevlar, with a fire-retardant clear coat that produces a deep gloss finish to highlight the tight-weave carbon fiber. A uniquely shaped chin bar supports a scalloped face shield design. A-Body EFI Fuel Tanks Tanks Inc., Monticello, Iowa, offers Notched Corner EFI Fuel Tanks for 1968-'72 GM A-body vehicles. The notched corner tanks work for mini-tub applications. Both corners are notched 7 inches in and 7 inches back for better tire and exhaust clearance. The rear of the tank is the stock depth, while the front of the tank is 1-inch deeper than stock, providing better fuel delivery to the pump. The stock-style, powder- coated gas tank has all the internal baffling needed for late-model EFI engines and features a recess for the fuel pump and sending unit. PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS Racing Calipers Wilwood Disc Brakes, Camarillo, California, introduces new WLD-19 Formula Car Racing Calipers that complement the previously released WLD-20 models. Wilwood WLD series calipers provide durability, weight savings and high-efficiency brake clamping for F/F, sports racers, and all other road race cars originally equipped with the vintage cast-iron LD-19 and LD- 20 calipers. The new WLD calipers feature a high-strength, lightweight, 2.3-pound forged aluminum body with options for stainless steel or Thermlock pistons.
