MINNESOTA HOCKEY NEWS & NOTES THIRD ANNUAL LEADER CONFERENCE, APRIL 27-28 The 2018 Association Leader Excellence Conference will be held April 27-28 in St. Louis Park. The event is designed to provide an opportunity for leaders in youth hockey associations to learn best practices and network with youth hockey leaders at the local, state and national levels. The conference will open the evening of Friday, April 27 with a series of small group discussions on hot topics in youth hockey. On Saturday, the conference will continue with breakout sessions on topics such as legal aspects of youth athletics, finances, membership development, player develop- ment and much more. MINNESOTA'S BEST PLAY HIGH PERFORMANCE The CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Tier I Leagues provide the top players in Minnesota with an opportunity to train with and against each other. The league's emphasis on high performance training and skill development in combi- nation with intense competition is the best way to prepare for your Bantam, 15U or High School season. In 2018, teams formed at the Youth 14U (2004, 2005), Girls 14U (2004, 2005) and Youth 15 (2003) will once again have the opportunity to compete for the chance to represent Minnesota at the USA Hockey Tier I National Championships. New this fall, teams will participate in a training camp weekend at TRIA Rink in St. Paul, as well as the Minnesota Hockey Tier I National Invitational. Registration for tryouts will open in April.
