www.ifrec.org RYDER PARK PHASE II CONSTRUC TION CONTINUES Construction will continue at Ryder Park including water pump station renovations, installing a new trail around the second pond, completing new shelters and signage as well as other safety enhancements. CONNEC TING OUR COMMUNIT Y PLAN (COC ) Thanks to a cooperative agreement between the City of Idaho Falls and Idaho Irrigation District, the Department will begin maintenance, planning, and development (if grant funding is awarded) on the Idaho Canal Trail, the next and third highest priority of the COC plan. The master canal pathway agreement lays the foundation to further develop more than 25 miles of canal trails. Thanks to safety funding provided by the Idaho Department of Transportation and with assistance by the City of Idaho Falls Public Works Department, pedestrian safety improvements and a multi- purpose pathway will be built around Pinecrest Golf Course. The redevelopment and renovation of the pathway on the east side of the River Walk from Broadway Street at Key Bank to Capital Drive to Pancheri Drive will also be completed in 2018. PROJECT CLIENT DATE SHEET TITLE SHEET # 5.0 OF Park ID Idaho Falls Park Nov. 17, 2017 Artwork 12 5 Sugar Mill Park 7'-0 1/8" Sugar Mill Park 7'-0 1/8" RECOMMENDED CONCEPT CONCEPT WITHOUT ROCKS CURRENT SIGNAGE NEW ROCK GARDENS AT TAYLORS CROSSING The rock gardens will see the development of a new restroom thanks to grant funding provided by the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation. In addition, final project punch list items will be completed including installation of site amenities, fixing minor issues from the flood and installing new signage. SIGNAGE AND WAYFINDING MASTER PLAN In 2018, the final stage of implementation includes new signage throughout the City of Idaho Falls parks system. The Department will also be assisting Idaho Falls Power on the installation of new interpretative signage along the River Walk. SANDY DOWNS IMPROVEMENTS The master plan completed in 2007 will be updated and include new County 4H master plan and partnership opportunities, electric service and utility planning and more detailed indoor arena concept and programming plans. Renovations and improvements will continue at Sandy Downs with grandstand and bleacher upgrades, restroom renovations, a new flag pole, lighting and parking lot improvements, continuation of adding jack fence and irrigation and HVAC upgrades. IDAHO FALLS RACEWAY AT NOISE PARK A new work shop will be completed in 2018 at Noise Park to house equipment and use as storage for the events that take place. Parking lot improvements and new bleachers will be added to the stock car track. The motor cross track will continue to be prepared for multiple special events. 29 NEW PLAYGROUND AND SHELTER IMPROVEMENTS With funding assistance and in cooperation with the Idaho Falls Civitan Club, a new playground and shelter renovations will be completed at Freeman Park. Volunteers from the Civitans and the community will work together with staff to make the renovations.
