TRACK OF THE MONTH: BARELY ROYAL Dub Phizix & SenkaSonic launch the OhmGrown series with the futuristic 'Engage 1:1'. Upcoming bassline and drum n bass producer Barely Royal is back with his hotly anticipated new track entitled 'Beasts in the Jungle' ft. Pelikann. Combining heavy beats with melodic vocals and almost undetectable distorted guitar, this dark tune's full of rhythm and texture almost transports you to another dimension. Recently signed to My Nu Leng's label, Maraki Records, Barely Royal's summer single 'Numbers' had major success, attracting the attention of Andy C and Friction. Not wanted to always be tied up in the red-tape that fills the industry, Manchester's maddest Dub Phizix has kicked off OhmGrown to get his tunes to us faster. Taking personal control of all aspects, sound- design, writing, mixing and visuals - Dub Phizix will take care of these himself. As soon as they're all done it just gets put straight on his BandCamp. OhmGrown is skipping over schedules and queues that keep tunes on the back burners. Though we can still expect to see his tunes on other outlets, OhmGrown is just another addition to his current outputs. NEWS: DUB PHIZIX LAUNCHES EPIC NEW SERIES OHMGROWN! ARTIST OF THE MONTH: MC INNA Talented and emerging Inna is on the rise towards becoming a creative artist - not only as a drum and bass mc! From Reading, Inna began mcing to jump up and drum n bass, getting rude and sweaty on stage at raves such as On a Mission, Switch, Coalition, Innovation. Now, Inna is allowing his true emotions to shine through his lyrics by performing to liquid jazz and soul vibes. He combines crowds that connect to dirty basslines and naughty lyrics in jump up with the more emotional and meaningful liquid dnb lovers. He can switch up a rave from getting the crowd hyped about the party ahead - to making people think, as he brings up his past and emotional memories. Inna stands out as an artist trying new things, breaking stereotypes and bringing others out of their comfort zone. 40 ISSUE 107 / 2018 DRUM & BASS PLAYLIST The drum and bass on our playlist this month I Need The Night Loadstar Serum & Voltage Strike Back What I Have Always Waited For Nu:Logic 48k Soundboy/ Multi- verse Bladerunner
