HYBRID PRINTER Ryonet's ROQ Hybrid brings digital printing and screen printing together into one direct-to-garment machine. This printer works in synchronization with an automatic screen-printing press. Decorators can combine glitter, foil, and 3D effects within a range of colors. This machine has an output speed of as many as 450 pieces per hour. The ROQ Hybrid features Fujifilm Dimatix print heads and ROQ Studio-tailored RIP software powered by Neostampa. It's capable of a 600–1,200 dpi resolution. The Dimatix print heads allow for nozzles to be repaired. The Hybrid uses ROQ Micropigment ink and is available with eight heads for CMYK printing or 12 for CMYK+2. Both XL (500mm X 700mm) and 2X (750mm X 900mm) print areas are offered, with a print height of 1–6mm. The F6200 is an all-in-one sublimation printing solution. The 44-inch system features PrecisionCore MicroPiezo TFP print heads, Epson UltraChrome DS ink technology, HDK dye-sublimation ink, and DS Transfer Media. The printer also features new UltraChrome DS HDK higher-density black ink. Wasatch SoftRIP Software with Epson ICC Profiles is included. Other F6200 upgrades include a hood-top media cover for as many as 6-inch diameter rolls and a waste ink bottle that holds as much as 2 liters. The F6200 offers bi- and uni-directional printing in as much as a 43.5-inch width, with 720 dpi X 1,440 dpi maximum resolution. The unit comes with a standard one-year Epson on-site warranty. M&R's DS-4000 Digital Squeegee combines the DS-4000 and the Stryker, Challenger III, or Gauntlet III to bring screen and digital printing together. Combining these systems allows as much as 400 prints per hour. This process can be used on a variety of fabrics including cotton, poly, and tri-blends. Hybrid printing allows the user to print special effects including foil, flock, and puff before or after the digital print. The DS-4000 prints from digital files. Digital Squeegee inks can be cured at full production speeds in conventional gas convection dryers. With a range of heads available, the machine serves both startups and es- tablished embroidery businesses, says the company. Ricoma recommends the machine for cap embroidery with an elevated needle plate. This allows users to run caps and 3D puff embroidery at high speeds.
