Along with larger events like trade shows, these handy giveaway items maintain their popularity on the community level for things like 5K races, charity drives, and school functions. Retail trends continue to drive popular- ity for other bag looks as well, such as the fashion-forward tote and canvas resort-style bag, often used as a companion to resort wear in places like hotel gift shops. In the team and spirit wear market, Jenni- fer Minnick, Augusta Sportswear, highlights the rise of goods that address styles and de- mands of female athletes. Coordinated bags and hair accessories in team colors address not only functional needs but stylish ones as well. Minnick adds that the continued popularity of bling through glitter and se- quined goods largely falls in this category. Headwear continues to hold its own in the accessory category with a handful of go- to looks for a variety of end uses. Mosley points to the classic beanie as a common- ly requested piece of headwear. "Beanies are absolutely a mainstay in the headwear and accessory market," he adds. Standard 8-inch hats, 12-inch flip-up designs, and pom-poms, Mosley suggests, are all strong performers. In cap-style headwear, the "Dad" hat and unstructured, low-profile Beanies are a mainstay in the headwear and accessory market.
