Anthrop sometimes gets overlooked — that was certainly the case a year ago, when he led the Boilermakers in receptions — but he had a solid, consistent spring. And in a Boilermaker receiving corps that lacks that kind of consistency, Anthrop's constant presence stands out. The sophomore catches everything thrown his way, and his lower-body strength combined with his quickness and instincts make him appear faster than he probably is. Even though Rondale Moore, a player with seemingly more natural ability, arrives in the summer, Anthrop has carved himself a spot because of his reliability. Running Back 1. Jallow, despite his physical ability, couldn't catch on at safety in his first year as a Boilermaker in 2017, Purdue moved the former J.C. cornerback to linebacker. It has hopes that the 6-foot-2, 210-pound senior can fill a big-time need there. If he doesn't, then Nick Holt's best bet might be to play a base nickel defense in 2018. Jallow was more under control in the latter half of spring practices, not committing unnecessary transgressions on teammates. And occasionally, he'd make a play. But can the coaching staff trust him? Being in the right place at the right time is key, and that has been a struggle for Jallow early in his career. Nose Tackle 1. Lorenzo Neal 9 6-2, 315, Jr. 2.
