1. SIGHTSEEING
The cheapest way to see any city is to walk it
and some places in New York are perfect for
that, such as The High Line, Brooklyn Bridge
and in the summer Central Park is the best
place to be. It's got everything - even turtles!
Don't forget to also book a free ferry ride
to Staten Island and you can get a really
nice close up of the Statue of Liberty. Once
you are on the Island you can also see the
Manhattan skyline from a unique angle.
2. LOCAL GEMS
For those of you looking for something
different, a local events app called 'Fever'
can give you an idea of non-touristy things
to do in the city.
It is also handy for discovering events in
the city for varying prices and deals, such as
affordable boat parties and music events.
3. PARTY LIKE A REAL NEW
YORKER
The Bossa Nova Civic Club is one of New
York's "coziest house and techno" hangouts.
Located in Brooklyn, under the overpass in
Bushwick, this is the place to be if you are
looking for live industrial techno or jacking
house sets.
4. EATING ON A BUDGET
The Corner Bistro pays homage to the
legendary American burger, with prices
starting from $6.75, it would be a sin to miss
out on this place. But if you are feeling more
adventurous, why not try out Sripraphai, a
Thai restaurant dubbed as one of New York's
best Thai restaurants and with prices starting
from $10.50, you won't leave disappointed.
