"When the growers have both harvested and worked the ground in the fall to prep it for the following year's crop, they can feel a difference in soil tilth and how their equipment works across the field." Pooch says that growers have expressed that the spent lime appears to have had a positive impact on rotation crops as well, though no in-depth analysis has been conducted.
