A: The rise in popularity of UTVs has been great for the segment (by providing) a much easier entry point for enthusiasts to enjoy powersports. Competition between vehicle manufacturers is robust and, of course, it has created many opportunities for the aftermarket to provide performance, safety and styling modifications that allow users to personalize their vehicles of choice. Q: What is it about the powersports market that made your company want to start developing products for such a niche? A: We have been active in short course and open desert for many years, and all- terrain powersports plays a role in these categories. Because so many of our prod- ucts like digital gauges, wideband air/fuel ratio controllers, data loggers and engine management systems are both universal in application and used in off-road competi- tion, it has been a natural progression to create awareness for them in the power- sports segment. It has even led to the development of plug-and-play products for the Polaris RZR.
