Big Money Offered At 50th BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500 BFG Offering $25K Helping SCORE celebrate the 50th anniversary of the SCORE Baja 500, BFGoodrich Tires announced special contingency bonus prizes for two SCORE races in 2018. In addition to the normal contingency prizes, the BFGoodrich Tires driver, that has the fastest overall time, will receive a $25,000 bonus purse at the 50th BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500 and $25,000 bonus purse in the 51st SCORE Baja 1000. King Shocks Offers $5k King Shocks, the official Shock of SCORE International, has announced that the overall winner at this years’ 50th BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500, will receive $5,000 in cash. King will give this special Victory Award in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the race, and King’s participation within SCORE International. For more information, visit www.kingshocks.com. Tri-Ace Tires Sweetens The Pot TRI-ACE Tires is sweetening the pot during the 2018 SCORE International Races Series Contingency Awards offering $25,000 to the winners of both the SCORE BAJA 500 and SCORE BAJA 1000 if they compete with a TRI-ACE Tire product. Similar to last season’s promotion, this year any team that wins the Overall Championship at either race can win the award. This will add to the TRI-ACE Contingency Awards that provides $1000 for First Place, $750 for Second Place and $500 for Third Place in “Racer Bucks” for any Score Class with a minimum of three competitors. A Transmission With That Please Rancho Drivetrain Engineering will give away a free RDE built transmission, valued at $20k, to the RDE equipped SCORE Trophy Truck who comes in first in category, at the 50th BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500. New App Takes Guesswork Out of Crossing Tijuana’s Borders BorderTraffic.com offers SCORE Fans and racers a mobile app that gives travelers reliable, up-to-the-minute, video coverage of the San Ysidro and Otay Mesa ports of entry. The app lets you know the best times and where to cross, even which lane to use to save time. Video analytics are used to generate exclusive AccuWait time estimates in hours/minutes. Useful features have been added like “Time My Crossing” and “My Favorite Videos” which allows travelers to compare two different crossing options in mere seconds. “My Alerts” automatically contacts users when their preprogrammed criteria is met, e.g., “Notify me when the San Ysidro Ready Lane wait is less than 15 minutes.” The app is available on the Google Play Store or the iTunes App Store. Colton Udall To Offer Pit Service At this year’s 50th BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500, motorcycle racers will have an opportunity to take advantage of Pro Moto Champion Colton Udall’s 10 years or racing experience and championship winning methods.
