To maximize separation right at the beginning, the harvester is equipped with an additional intake chain before the primary chain. Keeping the machine as short as possible but still with high-capacity cleaning, a new steeper secondary chain was designed to clean out dirt, separate vines and transport the potatoes at the same time. A special combination of the vine chain with flights working together with the secondary chain creates a pocket to move product up the steeper incline. Small V-curved spines on the 36-millimeter pintle belt actively grab dirt and increase the potential for cleaner loads while separating vines.
