In his position, Macias works closely with customers to identify, understand, and help solve some of their biggest business challenges. Prior to his appointment, Macias consulted for multiple Fortune 100 companies, improving their digital experience for customers. Macias also led a start-up business specializing in digital strategy consulting. "Marshall has a passion for innovation and an entrepreneurial drive that will benefit SanMar and our customers," says Jeremy Lott, president of SanMar. "We're committed to delivering a digital experience that's second-to-none and I know that Marshall is the right person to help us do that." GSG (Dallas) appoints Jacob Goellner to operations manager for the company's Dallas branch. Goellner comes to the position after previ- ously serving at GSG's Austin location as branch manager for approxi- mately 10 years. In his new position as operations manager, Goellner oversees all daily operations and deliveries at the Dallas distribution warehouse. He holds a degree in sociology with a minor in business from Texas State University. PolyOne Corporation (Cleveland) appoints Dr. David A. Jarus to vice president of research and development. Jarus replaces Dr. Christopher J. Murphy who retires after a 33-year career with the company. In his new role, Jarus is responsible for driving innova- tion and developing new solutions across all markets at PolyOne. "Innovation is the lifeblood of a specialty organization, and David has demonstrated consistent, collaborative leadership that helped to enable our specialty transformation," says Robert M. Patterson, CEO of PolyOne Corporation. "As we embark on more ad- vanced levels of innovation and growth, I'm excited that David will now be leading our research and development to deliver value to our customers and shareholders." Jarus' career with PolyOne dates back to 2000 when he joined the organization as an advanced research and development scientist. Since 2000, Jarus has held various leader- ship positions at the company including global technology director for the specialty en- gineered materials department. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Science from Case Western Reserve University.
