Chris Pettit, Director of Business Development, Northpoint Commercial Finance F resh out of college, Pettit was employed by Textron Financial as an account service coordinator and then later promoted to account manager. But while at Textron, Pettit became an inside sales rep where he was first introduced to the RV industry when he began calling on RV dealers in his sales role. After Textron Financial, he worked for Bank of The West on the retail/indirect lending side of the business for two years, before joining Northpoint Commercial Finance during its inaugural year in business. Early on in his career, Pettit gained an appreciation for the RV industry and made it his personal goal to be well-versed in the industry. Pettit realized that once you understand a business and what challenges your customers face, then you quickly discover how you can help them. Pettit was able to close his first sale with the help of a senior colleague who mentored him through putting the deal together. Once Pettit was able to get the customer's floor- plan line of credit set up, he realized the magnitude of what he was able to accomplish for his dealers and the industry. Pettit is a prime example of how hard work, diligent and persistent efforts, a cooperative spirit, and maintaining meaningful relationships prove to be the difference and launching pad for Northpoint's ongoing growth and success in the RV Industry. Additionally, he gained knowledge of the retail finance side of the business (he had already known the floorplan finance side from his time at Textron). Pettit was awarded the Most Outstanding Director of Business Development for Northpoint Commercial Finance in 2015 based on his hard work and dedication to the customers he serves.
