168 • RV PRO • July 2018 rv-pro.com B U S I N E S S Refresh A more in-depth look at recent breaking news F ollowing the success of Land 'N' Sea's com- bined RV and marine show in Las Vegas last year, the distributor decided to discon- tinue its annual January RV show in Wisconsin Dells, Wis. "By having a consolidated marine and RV show, we were able to provide the dealers with the opportunity to see a lot of crossover prod- ucts that they might not ordinarily see at just an RV show," says Tom Schuessler, president of Land 'N' Sea. Attendance in Las Vegas was very strong in 2017, according to Schuessler. That – paired with timing and facility issues of the Wisconsin show – focusing on the crosspollination between the two markets was more attractive, and the South Point casino in Vegas was just the place to do it, he adds. "We're really excited (to make) this as a national function. … We're growing," says Debbie Bellantoni, Land 'N' Sea's event oper- ations and planning manager. "This combined with the marine vendors is just going to be the industry event for the market." The consolidation allows a broader product offering – products that the RV industry may not have been able to see at the Wisconsin Dells, Wis., show, which was held at the Kalahari Resort.
