G rowing up, our family raced snowmobiles in the Midwest and pulled a four-place trailer behind an Open Road chas- sis-mount motorhome. Racing or trail riding every weekend in the winter and camping/fly fishing in the summer, I have great memories of that lifestyle and wanted to someday work in a related industry. After 11 years with Nissan Motor Corp., I decided to look for career opportunities outside of the auto industry. After a mid-Jan- uary trip and interview with Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls, Minn., my wife and I decided to stay in Southern California and I joined Fleetwood in Riverside. I tried to learn as much as I could about the 23 different brands we manufactured and distributed at Fleetwood. A few years later, I received a call from a recruiter about a marketing opportunity with a "West Coast" RV manufacturer. Based on the excellent reputation the Lance brand has in the industry, and after meeting Jack Cole, I came aboard. For the past four years, I have had a two-hour commute and had an awesome time continuing to build upon the legacy Norm Jacobson has left at Lance. I really enjoy knowing and using the products that I develop marketing materials and campaigns for and feel it's critical in pro- viding authentic messaging and emotion. Currently, I am proud of what the marketing team here at Lance has been able to accomplish. We've continued to raise positive awareness of the Lance brand to RV customers across North America while leading the way in social media and digital marketing with a special emphasis on video content. Specifically, our recent Lifestyle Brand Video featured on our consumer website, the rig we built for the SEMA Show and our Facebook page reaching 185K followers are all things our team did a fantastic job on.
