NEWS FLASH HIP HOP THE WAREHOUSE PROJECT, MANCHESTER Kanye may hire former Run DMC Manager Grammy-winning, Kanye West is said to be in talks with former Def Jam President Lyor Cohen about managing his career. Cohen, who has had a hand in managing acts like Run DMC, LL Cool J and the Beastie Boys, is said not to be taking over from Kanye���s current manager, but making him part of ���a bigger play���. With Rinse FM���s opening launch night going down as a huge success, the second night of this year���s Warehouse Project series had a lot to live up to. The promoters pulled out all the stops for the second night, with the lineup boasting stellar acts such as Nicolas Jaar, Seth Troxler and Four Tet. INDIE Sixx turns ���Heroin Diaries��� into Broadway play The brand new cavernous venue was buzzing from early doors with latest big thing Bicep kicking things off in Room 3 with a bang. Next door in Room 2, Joy Orbison and Jackmaster were smashing it with the crowd going so wild that you could feel the walls sweating, Scuba brought his pounding, Berghain influenced techno beats that kept the crowd jumping and the ground shaking & deep house maestro Maceo Plex played one of the best deep house sets I have heard in a while. Tech house legend Seth Troxler dropped tracks including Joris Voorn���s remix of Muldar���s ���Natural High���, Troxler gave a masterclass in how to mix vinyl! Legendary rock star Nikki Sixx is turning his 2007 book ���The Heroin Diaries: A Year In The Life Of A Shattered Rock Star, into a Broadway play. The book is a collection of diary entries between Christmas 1986 and Christmas 1987 where the bassist was momentarily declared clinically dead after overdosing. HOUSE Wolfgang Gartner releases new single early The new single called ���Evil Lurks��� will feature Tom Staar. It will be released on December 3rd, a little earlier than previously thought. For a sneak peek at the new track, head to houseplanet. dj. THE BIG REUNION @ SKEGNESS On 17th November Guestlist touched dwon at ���The Big Reunion��� in Skegness. Taking over the whole of Butlins theme park, ���The Big Reunion��� run the biggest music weekender. It was three days of partying fun, drinks and chicks. The music was a mix of dubstep and drum & bass with a lot of well known acts & DJ���s performing there. Artisrts including Lethal B, Chase & Status, DJ Friction, DJ Fresh, Mista Jam and many more. As well as a big music festival, it is also a fancy dress weekend. The costumes were bright and creative to say the least and the Power Rangers, Umperlumpers, Dick Dastardly and Peter Griffin were all spotted. It was an experience and a perfect example of how do a party in a theme resort. The best thing about it all was that we were able to catch great footage for all of you to watch over on GNTV! REGGAE BAILEY FUNKED UP @ ���JAMAIS VU��� Bailey returned to the intimate Horse & Groom venue in Shoreditch last Sunday to ensure the last few hours of the week, and the first couple of the new, were seen off in sufficiently sick style. Sporting a giant bobble hat to counter the cold night air, the BBC Radio 1Xtra and ���Jamais Vu��� resident touched down at the DJ booth on the stroke of midnight and instantly got the dancefloor buzzing with a classic dubby, jungly set. Duke Vin passes away Legendary sound system pioneer and one of the founders of Notting Hill Carnival has passed away in London.
