154 ■ THE WOLFPACKER BY JACEY ZEMBAL N C State has two available scholarships for the class of 2019, and wants to add some perimeter firepower. The Wolfpack coaches were able to watch three key 2019 targets in the same game when CP3 played Team United April 28 in Indianapolis. The Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) contest featured Concord (N.C.) Cox Mill guard Wendell Moore Jr. on CP3, and he was playing against West Charlotte (N.C.) High small forward Patrick Williams and Co‑ lumbia (S.C.) Gray Collegiate Academy shooting guard Juwan Gary. Wolfpack head coach Kevin Keatts quickly focused on the trio, and they have all unofficially visited NC State in the past. The Wolfpack was in good shape with the area talents heading into the July evalua‑ tion period. All three will be playing at the Nike Peach Jam July 11‑15 in North Augusta, S.C., giving the Wolfpack coaches in‑ creased opportunities to "be seen." Moore Set To Officially Visit NC State Moore is considering NC State, Duke, North Carolina, South Carolina and Wake Forest, and he's already unofficially visited all five programs multiple times. The 6‑5, 215‑pounder has been hit hard by colleges since his freshman year. "My whole recruiting process is wind‑ ing down," Moore said. "I'm ready for it to end. I have five great schools right down the street. "I feel they can offer me just as much as anybody can in the country." Moore will make an official visit to NC State Aug. 31‑Sept. 2, which coincides with the Wolfpack football season opener against James Madison. "They came to me first and asked if they could be my first visit," Moore said. "I had no problems saying, 'Yeah.'" Keatts has made Rivals.com's No. 25 overall prospect his top target over the last 15 months. The Pack head coach and all three assistants watched Cox Mill and Moore win the North Carolina 3A state title at Reynolds Coliseum March 10. While leading Cox Mill to a 29‑3 mark during his junior year, Moore averaged 25.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. "Once he came in, he told me I was his first priority," Moore said. "On his first day of the job, he was in our gym trying to recruit me. "It means a lot to me that since the day he has gotten there, I've been a top prior‑ ity guy." Moore unofficially attended a pair of NC State home games this past season. "They have a great atmosphere and a great team," Moore said. "Coach Kevin Keatts is another great coach.
