94 β€’ A&E THE GUIDE 2018 extremely proud parents. By the second day, we were watching and trying to capture match points. On-time created the demand in this instance. Proud parents would pur- chase numerous substrates with the game winners' information, and the entire team would end up ordering first-place tourna- ment T-shirts. This was a lesson learned that seems so obvious. That which excites you, drives you and your sales. I have spent a great deal of my time in the industry learning from my customers as much as I have taught. Your customers are likely people that are buying things that get them going. Do yourself a favor and cater to your customer base and also do what gets you excited. When I was young, I spent a lot of time in the mountains snow skiing and white- water rafting in the summers β€” looking back, these were both great opportunities or markets that I would enjoy selling into. In both of these activities, at the end of the day, there is an opportunity to buy a picture that was taken of you β€” action photos, mountain photos, family photos, and so on. Sublimation and heat transfer enable you to not only recreate that moment on a number of substrates, but make a keepsake that will bring you a potential customer for life. We are all fans of something, and most of us are fans of our families. From family reunions to father-son camping trips, from high school games to wedding anni- versaries, there are moments we capture with cameras that can quickly be turned into mouse pads, mugs, tiles, ornaments, T-shirts, and much more. One of the great things about the on- time part of the whole on-time, on-demand printing is that so much technology is in all of our hands that our customers are doing a lot of the legwork for us. I would be willing to bet that most of the people reading this article have a phone that has a great picture of a pet or a family moment that you would pay to have printed. We are all fans of something and sometimes it is up to us to remind our customers that we can take that picture and make that moment a lasting keepsake for the entire family or team to enjoy for years to come. CONCLUSION What are you a fan of? Figure out what you're truly passionate about and let it guide you along that which gets your customers going. Cater to your customer base and remember, sublimation and heat transfer are both easy to take to events and are extremely versatile. Embrace the on– time, on-demand method and put yourself in front of the target demographic of which you are truly are a fan of. Sublimation Whether it's sublimation or heat transfer, there's always a right tool for the job. Both sublimation and heat transfer offer on-time, on-demand print ability. A&E
