NOVEMBER 2018 ■ 9 I would just like to say a huge thank you from our staff and team to Wolfpack Nation. You guys have been unbelievable in your support this season — just like every year. The early start games in September made the temperatures pretty unpleasant, but you were loud and really made a differ- ence for our team. Thank you for making Carter-Finley one of the toughest environments in the nation! That atmosphere not only helps us in competition, but also in recruiting. We are just a few weeks from signing day (Dec. 19) and I can't wait for everyone to meet #Pack19. It's hard to believe we're already halfway through the 2018 season. This is the time of the year when the bumps and bruises are starting to pile up, and the number of guys in the training room seems to increase every week. Our athletic trainer, Justin Smith, and his staff do a great job in terms of preventing injuries and then helping our guys through the recovery and rehab process. I'm excited that we were able to add a 12th regular season game with East Carolina at the end of our schedule. Losing a game due to Hurricane Florence was tough for our team and our fans, but being able to replace that highly anticipated game with a contest against an in-state team that also was affected by the hurricane is a great alternative. I'm very proud of the guys who have been named to vari- ous midseason All-America and All-ACC teams. Pro Football Focus had Ryan Finley, Garrett Bradbury, Terronne Prescod, Kelvin Harmon, Jakobi Meyers and Germaine Pratt on their midseason all-conference list. Garrett and Big T were named to the PFF midseason All-America first team, while T was also on the Sports Illustrated and Associated Press midseason lists. Our offensive line has been named to the Midseason Honor Roll for the Joe Moore Award — which is the only award in the nation that honors a whole position group. That's so fitting for the Band of Brothers, because they truly are about the group over the individual. I feel that our entire team has embraced that concept this year. Finally, I wanted to share something that our staff is doing this year that is really special. Every Monday morning, we have partnered with 321 Coffee to set up a "pop-up" coffee shop outside the coaches' offices in the Murphy Center. 321 Coffee is a pop-up coffee shop (started by four NC State students) operated by individuals with developmental and in- tellectual disabilities. Every week, we get the chance to hang out with some great people as well as have some great coffee. Some of our players, who are also coffee lovers, come up to enjoy the coffee and company. This is a great opportunity for our players and staff to enjoy each other's company and make some new friends. Thank you for your continued support. 1Pack1Goal Coach Doeren ■ From Head Football Coach Dave Doeren PHOTO BY KEN MARTIN
