CRATE BREWERY
Situated on the edge of Hackney Wick in a former print factory, CRATE is a one of a kind craft brewery and pizzeria.
Launching in late July 2012, this
micro-brewery has been set up
by a small group of locals who
transformed this space into a
modern and on-trend creative
space, in an area that would
have been considered the back
of beyond a few years ago. All
this converted interior has been
furnished with reclaimed materials
from around the wick: cushions
are stuffed old grain sacks, the
bar is constructed from railway
sleepers, and massive tables
inside and outside the bar are
built from other reclaimed wood.
THE HEMINGWAY
This beautiful little boozer offers the
highest quality food using the best
and freshest ingredients and serves a
selection of fine wines and cocktails.
Located off Mare Street and on the edge
of Victoria Park, opening the doors to
this pub is a cross between opening the
doors of Narnia and The Last Tuesday
Society. All of their ingredients are
locally sourced and their hand cooked
chips and homemade scotch eggs are
another must eat. Visit their website at:
