Currently there are planned events to host artists like LFO, Plump DJs and Fake Blood to name just a few. Keep your eyes out for more big nights going on at this venue. Every Saturday night is "Carwash" night which means 70s and 80s disco grooves so prepare to get your funk on and make sure you're in fancy dress or you won't get in! However, if this isn't your thing then you can look forward to dirty electro, pop, techno and house beats on other days in the week. A well organized team of bar staff keep queuing times down to a minimum, with beers costing around £4 for a pint which is standard among clubs these days. The cheapest bottled beer will cost you around £3.50, whereas alco-pops will cost you 50p extra at £4.00 and shots costing £5.00. Ok so they aren't the best prices in London, but the venue itself more than makes up for the prices in style, uniqueness and atmosphere. VIBES VIBES XOYO isn't the biggest venue in the world but it's nice and cozy, with ample space for people to dance and a DJ booth that is right in amongst the crowd, so there is a real sensation of intimacy when witnessing your favourite DJs perform right in front of you! There is definitely an underwater vibe going on at Club Aquarium with an array of pink and purple hue lighting and night-time decor. There is also a cozy lounge, two dancefloors and four bars for you to get your drink on at! LABEL OF THE MONTH LOCAL TALK RECORDS Hailing from Stockholm in Sweden, this label promotes everything that is house and in 2011 renowned DJ and club promoter Mad Mats and highly acclaimed DJ Tooli joined forces to share their passion for this. Only launching last year they have already gained quite a reputation and are the label on everyone's lips right now. The track that caught our attention last summer was Swedish DJ HNNY 'For The Very First Time', which pushes a groove-led melody beneath an infectious vocal and with the very first listen we instantly fell in love. Having made some noise in the underground house scene with an impressive output of music including a new release from Kyodai, the two Berlin based producers they return with their very promising EP 'Moving'. The album has gained love from music veteran and BBC Radio 6 DJ, Gilles Peterson who introduced this to his listeners. Other releases this year from the Local Talk camp come from Anaxander, who provides some hard hitting acid tunes and welsh garage/house DJs C.R.S.T. and Chesus. The label heads themselves, Mad Mats and Tooli have release dropping next month too, which will be their very first Local Talk Compilation 'Talking House Vol. 1'. Their fresh, forward thinking attitude is an unstoppable musical force and we are loving their sound right now. We predict that these guys will not be staying so 'local' anymore and the only thing we would suggest is that they bring their music to London. We will be waiting and ready to party!
