2 Anyone involved in learning and talent development has several big challenges on their hands. Why? Because of the impact that digital has had on workplace learning. Digital has dramatically changed how people learn at work and how people want to learn at work. The majority of learners have wholeheartedly embraced the possibilities that digital learning brings, taking advantage of the range of digital-enabled options available to them. They are learning when they want, where they want and how they want. Have those historically in charge of how and where learning happens – HR, L&D and business leaders – been as keen to go digital? Not always. However, digital has to be a central and defining part of any modern talent development strategy. No HR or L&D department can afford to believe otherwise. INTRODUCTION
