The prognosticators have to rank the games 1-5. For example, this week, if the Maniac was most certain that the Purdue men's team was going to beat Penn State, the prognosticator would rank that game a 5. Less certainty would mean ranking that game a 1. Points will be tabulated throughout the season with each week having a maximum of 15 points. In case of a tie, the Maniac coming closest to predicting the total points in the featured Purdue game will be the winner. The guess for the tiebreaker is found in parenthesis after the predicted winner of that game. Weekly Media Mania winners receive a dinner certificate for two to Bruno's Swiss Inn, located in West Lafayette and the yearly winner will be presented with the Golden Typewriter as the top Media Maniac.
