CG CAHPS results are typically submitted by survey sponsors like SPH Analytics. SPH Analytics has extensive experience in conducting and submitting CG CAHPS data on behalf of health plans and provider organizations across the nation. How frequently should I conduct the CG CAHPS Survey? For purposes of "pay-for-performance" initiatives, healthcare organizations tend to conduct the CG CAHPS Survey on an annual basis. Subject to the purpose and objectives of the survey, health plans and healthcare provider organizations may wish to conduct the survey on a more frequent basis. The new CG CAHPS 3.0 Adult version of the survey has a 6 month look back/reference period. Therefore, organizations may want to consider the benefits of conducting the survey every 6 months. The site-specific version of the survey is often conducted on an on-going basis during a defined period. Site specific surveys ensure better patient recall on what happened during a specific doctor's office visit. This survey allows for a more timely and immediate response by the organization and or quality improvement action planning based on issues uncovered through the survey.
