You're also getting pizza with passion, because passion is what comes through in eve- rything e Urban Epicurean produces. You're signing up for a unique event where handmade pizzas are crafted and cooked on-site. Born and raised on Long Island, Carbone comes from what he describes as a "great fam- ily of cooks who inspired my love of food." But while he has always loved cooking, initially he didn't pursue it professionally. In fact, he had a successful career in radio sales first. When he decided to leave his job for culinary school, it was because he could no longer ignore the call of his passion for cooking, which even- tually revealed his most enthusiastic food passion: pizza. Carbone, who has appeared on national television as part of FOX's MasterChef with Gordon Ramsay (where he finished as a top 10 finalist), started e Urban Epicurean in Bos- ton. And while Carbone formally moved the business to the North Shore a few years ago (along with his family), e Urban Epicurean continues to serve the Boston area as well as the North Shore and the Maine and New Hampshire seacoasts.
