"We're definitely closer as a
team," junior Ryan Russell said.
"... And mental toughness is a big
part of it. When you're tired, can
you focus? Can you stay on the
line? Can you remember the snap
count? We made strides in terms
of mental toughness, focus and
just being together as a team."
Purdue's Black and Gold
spring game is set for April 13.
Cowboys Tag Spencer
Again
Cowboys' linebacker Anthony Spencer is expected to sign
a franchise tag tender to stay in
Dallas next season, but he's working on a deal that would ensure a
longer stay.
The one-year franchise tag
would be worth $10.6 million,
about $2 million more than he
made last season as a franchise
tag signee. If he signs the tender,
he and Dallas would have until
July 15 to be traded, work out a
long-term deal, or play next season under the one-year contract.
Spencer wants a long-term
contract.
"We've got a little time, but I
told them I'd like to start moving
forward on this and hopefully maybe as soon as next week we can
have some serious talks toward it,"
agent Jordan Woy told ESPN.com.
