Results can help you diagnose auditory processing difficulties, imperceptions of auditory modality, language problems, and/or learning disabilities in both children and teens. • Subtests include Word Discrimination, Phonological Segmentation, Phonological Blending, Numbers Forward, Numbers Reversed, Word Memory, Sentence Memory, Auditory Comprehension, and Auditory Reasoning. • Subtest order reflects a developmental progression of tasks, ranging from easiest to most difficult. The use of partial credit in some subtests more accurately reflects the child's auditory abilities. • An optional Auditory Figure-Ground task, presented on audio CD, flags attention problems and gives feedback about how the child's auditory processing system works in real-world situations. • In addition to one overall score, individual subtest scores are combined to derive three cluster scores: Basic Auditory Skills, Auditory Memory, and Auditory Cohesion. • Norms are nationally stratified to closely match U.S. Census demographics and are based on data from more than 2,000 students. 4F-6011-KT TAPS-3 Introductory Kit (includes TAPS-3 Manual, 25 Test Booklets, and Auditory Figure-Ground–CD) .......................... $160.00 4F-6012-TM TAPS-3 Manual .......................................................................... 60.00 4F-6013-TB TAPS-3 Test Booklets (pkg/25) .................................................. 75.00 4F-6014-EQ TAPS-3 Auditory Figure-Ground–CD ............................................ 25.00 Requirements: CD player for optional auditory task Test of Auditory Processing Skills–Third Edition (TAPS-3) Nancy Martin and Rick Brownell Designed to be used by speech-language pathologists, audiologists, school psychologists, and other testing professionals. At a Glance Purpose: Measure auditory processing skills Age: 4-18.11 years Admin: Individual or group Time: Approximately 1 hour to administer; 15-20 minutes to score Qualification Level: B Ideal for measuring delayed language, spoken language disorders, dyslexia, and aphasia, the CASL is a research-based oral language assessment battery. Fifteen subtests can be administered individually or as a battery • Measures comprehension, expression, and retrieval skills using 15 tests that are organized into four language categories: Lexical/Semantic Tests, Supralinguistic Tests, Syntactical Tests, and Pragmatic Judgment. • Includes both core and supplementary tests—core tests measure the most representative aspects of each language category; supplementary tests provide additional diagnostic information for use in quantitative and qualitative analyses. • Record forms (one for ages 3-6 years; one for ages 7-21 years) provide space for profile analysis, item responses, scores, and behavioral observations. • Because the CASL provides age-based norms, it satisfies IDEA requirements for identifying language impairment. • The CASL ASSIST ™ Software simplifies scoring and gives you a complete interpretive report. 4F-6328-KT CASL Introductory Kit (includes CASL Manual, Norms Book, Test Book 1, Test Book 2, Test Book 3, 12 Record Form 1, and 12 Record Form 2) ......................................................... $474.00 4F-6329-TM CASL Manual ............................................................................ 48.00 4F-6330-RF CASL Record Form 1–Ages 3-6 Years (pkg/12) ....................... 35.00 4F-6331-RF CASL Record Form 2–Ages 7-21 Years (pkg/12) ..................... 40.00 4F-6332-CP CASL ASSIST Scoring Software–CD-ROM (for Windows or Macintosh) ................................................... 312.50 4F-6333-CP CASL/CASL ASSIST Combination Kit–CD-ROM (includes CASL Introductory Kit and CASL ASSIST Scoring Software) .... 593.50 Requirements: Windows ® 2000/XP; 2GB hard drive space; CD-ROM drive for installation Macintosh ® OS X 10.3 (Panther), 10.4 (Tiger), or 10.5 (Leopard) Requires no reading or writing; children can respond to items by speaking, pointing, or marking their response choices with an X.
