SCORE Vehicle Classes A Quick Guide To The Race Vehicles In SCORE’s World Desert Championship Series By Dan Sanchez Photos by Get Some Photo For more than 50-years, desert racers have challenged Baja in numerous types of vehicles from motorcycles to specialty-built buggies. While some vehicles haven’t changed over the decades, others have evolved and new racing vehicles have emerged. SCORE officials constantly look at the needs of racers, the types of vehicles they’re building, the supply of parts and components, and the evolution of what it takes to compete safely in the desert, and often change the rules and what vehicles are allowed to compete. For SCORE fans, it’s interesting to see the various types of vehicles competing in the world’s toughest off-road races, so we’ve compiled the current list of vehicle classes for a better understanding of what is required for each class.
