A.J. Hammons enjoys a little downtime on the bench
in the closing minutes of Purdue���s win over Western
Illinois in the first round of the CBI. Hammons played
just 33 minutes in the two games in the tournament.
Terone Johnson gets in the lane for two of his 10
points in the tournament-opening win against
Western Illinois. It took a 59-percent shooting effort,
easily the Boilermakers��� highest percentage of the
season, for Purdue to distance itself from the pesky
Leathernecks.
Playing in his final two games in Mackey Arena, Dru Anthrop seized the opportunity to
show freshman Ronnie Johnson and others how to lead by example, playing the best
game of his career against Western Illinois. The senior guard played well in both games,
getting the most court time over a two-game span (37 minutes) in his career.
