You can use these events to notify users or systems that an event has occurred, or for remediation actions. For example, if you want to monitor activities on your Amazon EC2 instances, you can create a CloudWatch Event rule. When a specific activity happens on the Amazon EC2 instance and the event is captured in the logs, the rule triggers an AWS Lambda function, which sends a notification email about the event (when it happened, which user performed the action, Amazon EC2 details, etc.) to the administrator.
