Remember now, that we, according to
1 Peter 1:23, are born again by The
WORD of God.
Let's read it:
23 Being born again, not of corruptible
seed, but of incorruptible, by The
WORD of God, which liveth and
abideth for ever.
Now let's read Ephesians 5:8:
8 For ye were sometimes darkness,
but now are ye light in The LORD: walk
as children of light.
not in rioting and drunkenness, not in
chambering and wantonness, not in
strife and envying.
14 But put ye on The LORD Jesus
Christ, and make not provision for the
flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Put on The LORD Jesus Christ! The
word CHRIST—the Anointed One and
His Anointing—is the key.
"Brother Copeland, I don't get it."
Yes, you do. Let's read Luke 4:18:
18 The Spirit of The LORD is upon
me, because he hath anointed me to
preach the gospel to the poor; he
hath sent me to heal the
brokenhearted, to preach deliverance
to the captives, and recovering of
sight to the blind, to set at liberty
them that are bruised.
Now you can see it. It's the power of
the Holy Spirit of Light Himself.
Praying in the spirit, then, is
WALKING IN THE LIGHT AS HE IS IN
THE LIGHT! Let's go back to 1 John
1:5 where we started, and continue
reading with verses 6-9:
6 If we say that we have fellowship
with him, and walk in darkness, we lie,
and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in
Can you see the pattern that's
beginning to emerge here? Well now,
wait a minute. What about Romans
13:12?
12 The night is far spent, the day is at
hand: let us therefore cast off the
works of darkness, and let us put on
the armour of light.
What? Let us? You put on and wear
the armor of LIGHT!
"But, Brother Copeland, how do I do
that?"
Well, keep reading verses 13-14:
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day;
