"We wanted to make every use visible from every other use. From the library you can see through the glass to the ice area." The visibility throughout the facility is just the tip of what makes this facility unique. The library being under the same roof is something not often seen. The library itself was built with the latest tech- nology, including sliding book cases to maximize space. The ice rink itself has brought some modern touches with it such as the dasher boards that can accom- modate sled hockey along with plenty of natural light to keep spectators warm. "It's been a huge undertaking as an archi- tect," Tinucci said. "You don't see many civic projects where the citizens of the community put this thing on their shoul- ders and carry it across the finish line." 1,000 SEATING CAPACITY RINK 1: RINK 2: 250 The library has sliding bookcases for added space.
